Biscuits - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sifted flour
3 or 4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 c. shortening
2/3 c. milk
Preparation

Sift together dry ingredients.
Add shortening and stir with fork until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Put in all milk and stir until dough follows fork in bowl.
Turn out on lightly floured board.
Knead 8 or 10 times and roll out.
Cut biscuits into rounds and bake at 450\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
Serves 4.
