Grandmother'S Delicious Gingerbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. Crisco
2 eggs
3/4 c. molasses
2 3/4 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. soda
2 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. buttermilk or sour milk
ice cream, whipped cream or applesauce
Preparation

Blend sugar, Crisco and eggs.
Stir in molasses.
Add combined ingredients alternately with buttermilk.
Beat well.
Spread in a well-greased and floured 12 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 40 minutes.
Serve with warm ice cream, whipped cream or applesauce.
To make sour milk, add 1 tablespoon vinegar or lemon juice to 1 cup milk.
