Steak Smothered With Onions - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 Tbsp. fat or salad oil
    1 lb. round steak (3/4-inch thick)
    1/4 c. seasoned flour
    1/2 c. water
    4 medium onions, sliced
    1 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. black pepper
Preparation
    Heat oil in heavy skillet.
    Cut steaks in 4 pieces.
    Dip each piece in seasoned flour.
    Brown in hot fat; add water.
    Cover and cook slowly for 1 hour.
    Add onions, salt and pepper. Cover and continue cooking for 30 minutes more or until steak and onions are tender.
