Coconut Cream Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 egg yolks, slightly beaten
    2 c. milk
    1/2 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2/3 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. sweetened whipped cream
    1 baked 9-inch pastry shell
    toasted shredded coconut
Preparation
    Mix together sugar, flour and salt in top of a double boiler. Combine egg yolks and milk; stir into flour mixture and blend well.
    Cook over hot water until thickened, stirring constantly. Cover and cook 10 minutes longer.
    Cool slightly and stir in vanilla.
    Pour into pie shell and chill in refrigerator until firm.
    Before serving, top with cream and sprinkle with the coconut.
