Turtle Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. melted butter
    1 German chocolate cake mix
    14 oz. bag caramels
    1/2 c. evaporated milk
    1 c. nuts (optional)
    1 c. chocolate chips
Preparation
    Mix cake as directed. Add melted butter; mix well. Pour 1/2 batter in 9 x 13 greased pan. Bake 8 to 10 minutes at 350\u00b0. Melt caramels and milk in double boiler or microwave. Spoon over cake. Sprinkle nuts and chocolate chips over caramel. Pour remaining batter over mixture and bake approximately 15 minutes or until cake is done.
