Green Beans Scandia - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 can green beans
    1 Tbsp. chicken broth or 2 chicken bouillon cubes
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    3 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 to 1 tsp. whole dill seed
    dash of pepper
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 Tbsp. cold water
    2 c. chopped cabbage (optional; you can use 1 more can of beans)
Preparation
    Drain liquid from beans into saucepan (1-quart or larger). Add next 6 ingredients.
    Heat to boiling, stirring.
    Stir in cornstarch mixed with water.
    Cook and continue stirring until mixture thickens and is clear, about 5 minutes.
    Add cabbage; heat to boiling.
    Simmer, covered, 3 to 5 minutes.
    Add drained beans and cook until beans are hot.
    Serve at once.
    Serves 5 or 6.
