Aunt Marie'S Gingersnaps - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    4 Tbsp. Brer Rabbit molasses (green label or other molasses with green label)
    1 egg
    2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. ginger
Preparation
    Cream the shortening and sugar.
    Add molasses, then egg and beat well.
    Add sifted dry ingredients.
    Beat until smooth.
    Roll in small balls, then dip in sugar and place 2 inches apart on a greased cookie sheet.
    Bake in a moderate oven at 350\u00b0 to 375\u00b0 for 12 minutes.
