Hot German Potato Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

5 potatoes (medium sized)
6 slices bacon
3/4 c. chopped onion
2 Tbsp. flour
2 Tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. celery seed
dash of pepper
3/4 c. water
1/3 c. vinegar
Preparation

Cover potatoes with water and cook until tender.
Potatoes may be sliced before or after cooking.
Fry bacon until nice and crispy.
Take bacon out of pan but leave drippings.
Saute onion in bacon drippings until tender.
Add flour, sugar, salt, celery seed and pepper.
Stir and cook until thickened and smooth. Remove from heat and stir in vinegar and water.
Return to stove and boil 1 minute while stirring.
Crumble in reserved bacon.
Add sliced potatoes.
Serve warm.
Also good leftover cold.
