Lemon Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. Crisco, melted
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
2 eggs
rind of 1 lemon
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. nuts
Preparation

Blend Crisco, sugar and salt and beat well.
Add eggs.
Add rest of ingredients and beat well.
Put in a 9 x 5 x 2 1/2-inch loaf pan (well-greased).
Bake for 45 to 60 minutes at 350\u00b0. Remove from pan and pour over hot bread 1/2 cup sugar and juice of one lemon.
Freezes well.
