Seven-Layer Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce
    1 c. chopped onion
    1 c. chopped bell pepper
    1 (8 oz.) box frozen peas
    1 c. mayonnaise
    1 tsp. sugar
    dash of Worcestershire sauce
    1 c. grated American cheese
Preparation
    Break
    the
    lettuce
    into
    bite size pieces.
    Layer the ingredients in a 9
    x 11-inch Pyrex dish as follows:
    lettuce, onion, celery, bell
    pepper
    and peas.
    Combine the mayonnaise and sugar; spread
    on top.
    Cover this with cheese.
    Refrigerate until ready to serve.
