Connecticut Beef Supper(This Is A Great One Pan Meat For A "Meat And Potatoes" Crowd) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    2 lb. beef, cut up into large chunks
    2 large onions, sliced (optional)
    1 c. sliced mushrooms
    1 c. water
    2 large potatoes, sliced
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    1 c. dairy sour cream
    1 1/4 c. milk
    salt and pepper
    1 c. shredded cheese
Preparation
    Dredge meat in flour and brown meat in shortening.
    Add onions and mushrooms and saute.
    Add water.
    Cover and simmer until meat is tender. Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
