Spaghetti Pie - cooking recipe

1 lb. hamburger
1/4 c. chopped green pepper
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. dried basil
2 eggs
2 Tbsp. margarine
1 c. Ricotta cheese
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 c. chopped tomatoes
1 tsp. oregano
garlic salt (optional)
6 oz. dry spaghetti
1/3 c. grated Parmesan
1/2 c. shredded Mozzarella
Preparation

Cook hamburger until lightly browned.
Add onion and green pepper.
Drain.
Add chopped tomatoes, tomato paste, sugar, oregano, basil and garlic.
Cook until heated through; keep warm. Butter a 10-inch pie pan, one that has at least a 2-inch depth (a cast-iron frying pan works well).
Beat the eggs until well mixed. Cook spaghetti and drain.
While the spaghetti is hot, mix it with the margarine, Parmesan cheese and eggs.
Spread the mixture across the bottom and push it up the sides of the pie pan to form a \"crust.\"
Spread the Ricotta over the bottom of the \"crust\" and add the meat mixture.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
Remove from oven and top with Mozzarella.
Bake 5 minutes more or until cheese melts.
Let stand for 10 minutes.
Cut into wedges.
