Biscochitos - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. pure lard
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs, unbeaten
    4 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    6 1/2 c. flour
    2 tsp. milk or more (if needed; wine can be used instead of milk)
    2 tsp. whole anise seed
Preparation
    Cream
    lard
    with milk in large bowl.
    Add sugar, eggs, baking powder
    and
    anise seed.
    Mix together real well, then add flour, a little at a time.
    Knead well for a few seconds. If
    dough seems crumbly, add more milk until it stays together firm
    enough to roll on board.
    Roll out about 1/2-inch thick and cut with cookie cutter.
    Bake in ungreased pan until light brown
    in
    425\u00b0 oven.
    Dip cookies before baking in cinnamon-sugar mixture
    and place in pan with sugar up.
    Makes about 8 dozen cookies.
