Pineapple Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. soft shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1 (9 oz.) can crushed pineapple with juice (1 c.)
    3 1/2 c. sifted Gold Medal flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Mix shortening, sugar and egg thoroughly.
    Stir in pineapple with 1 cup juice.
    Stir together, then stir into first mixture the remaining ingredients.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
