Dill Pickle * - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    whole cucumbers
    3 c. vinegar
    9 c. water
    1 c salt
    dill
    alum
Preparation
    Mix vinegar, water and salt; boil for 5 minutes.
    To each sterile quart jar, add 2 heads dill, a lump of alum about the size of a pea and cucumbers.
    Pour hot vinegar water into jars and seal. Makes 6 quarts.
