Ingredients

2 c. oil (for Lenten cookies; otherwise 1 c. oil)
1 c. melted butter
1 1/2 c. orange juice
3 tsp. baking powder
1 1/4 tsp. baking soda
6 or 7 c. flour
Preparation

Mix above ingredients thoroughly. Dough must be able to hold together but not hard.
Roll into 1 or 1 1/2-inch balls.
May be stuffed in the middle with nuts, raisins or dates or leave plain. Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 30 minutes or until golden.
Let cool.
