Mrs. S Dokey'S Chicken Carry Out - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (4 1/2 to 5 lb.) stewing chicken
    salted water
    1/2 c. chicken fat
    1/2 c. flour
    4 c. chicken broth
    savory stuffing
Preparation
    Simmer chicken in salted water until tender.
    Let chicken cool in liquid.
    Skim fat and save.
    Take meat from bones and cut into pieces.
    Melt fat in pan, blend in flour, adding broth gradually; cook until thickened.
    Add chicken and thickened broth to dressing.
    Toss lightly; spoon into greased baking dish (10 x 14-inch), cover and bake 50 minutes.
    Uncover and bake 10 minutes longer until browned.
