Individual Baked Alaska - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 egg whites
    1/8 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/4 tsp. vanilla extract
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. sugar
    2 individual sponge cake cups
    2 chocolate-coated peppermint ice cream patties
    2 Tbsp. crushed peppermint stick
Preparation
    Combine egg whites, cream of tartar, vanilla and salt in a mixer bowl.
    Beat until soft peaks form.
    Add sugar gradually, beating constantly until stiff peaks form.
    Place sponge cakes on a foil-lined wooden cutting board.
    Place 1 ice cream patty in each cup.
    Cover each with meringue, sealing meringue to bottom of sponge cups.
    Sprinkle with crushed peppermint candy.
    Bake at 500\u00b0 for 2 to 3 minutes or until light brown.
    Serve immediately. Serves 2.
