Tortilla Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. onion, coarsely chopped
    4 cloves garlic
    1/2 c. white wine vinegar
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. cloves, ground
    2 tsp. olive oil
    2 c. chopped fresh tomato
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    6 to 8 fresh or pickled jalapeno peppers, seeded
    1/2 tsp. dried oregano leaves
    8 (6-inch) corn tortillas
    1 lb. cubed cooked chicken
    4 oz. Monterey Jack cheese, grated
Preparation
    In blender, process onion, peppers and garlic with 1/2 cup water until finely chopped.
    Scrape into a saucepan; add vinegar, sugar, salt, oregano and cloves and bring to a boil.
    Cover, reduce heat to low and simmer 10 minutes.
