Frijoles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. pinto beans, picked over removing rocks
    4 cloves garlic, chopped
    2 large onions, quartered
    3 cans chicken stock (to cover)
    3 to 4 fresh jalapeno chilies, seeded and cut in half
Preparation
    Soak ingredients over 12 hours in refrigerator.
    Bring to a boil.
    Cover, reduce heat and simmer, stirring from time to time, for about 1 1/2 hours, until tender.
    To serve, top with grated Cheddar cheese.
