Lentil Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 onions, chopped
    1 potato, cubed
    1 c. mushrooms, sliced
    3 cloves garlic, chopped
    1 carrot, grated
    2 c. celery, sliced
    1 (16 oz.) can crushed tomatoes
    2 c. beef broth
    1 c. water
    1/2 c. dry red wine
    1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
    1/2 tsp. marjoram
    1 tsp. oregano
    2 bay leaves
    1 1/2 c. lentils, washed and drained
Preparation
    Spray a heavy, 4-quart skillet with nonstick vegetable spray. Brown lightly onions, potato, mushrooms, garlic, carrot and celery.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Simmer, partially covered, until lentils are soft (approximately 1 1/2 hours).
    Add more water, if needed, during cooking.
    Makes 6 servings.
