Swiss Steak - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 lb. round steak
3 Tbsp. flour
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. paprika
1/2 tsp. pepper
2 Tbsp. shortening
1 onion, sliced
1/2 c. Heinz 57 sauce
1 1/2 c. water
Preparation
-
Cut meat into serving pieces.
Dredge meat in mixture of flour,
salt,
paprika
and
pepper.
Brown well in shortening. Add onion, 57 sauce and water.
Pour over meat.
Cover.
Simmer 1 1/2 to 2 hours or until meat is tender.
Thicken liquid with a flour and water mixture.
