Salt Free Lemon Sauce - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
2 c. cold water
1/4 c. unsalted butter
1/4 c. lemon juice
3 Tbsp. grated lemon zest
Preparation

In saucepan over low heat, combine sugar and cornstarch. Slowly add the cold water and mix well.
Bring the mixture to a boil and add the butter, lemon juice and grated lemon rind. Continue to boil slowly until sauce becomes thick and opaque, about 10 minutes.
Delicious over plain cake or meringue cake.
