Juicy Pineapple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. soda
    18 oz. can crushed pineapple
    1 c. coconut (optional)
    dash of salt
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 egg
    rest of can of evaporated milk (from sauce)
    1 c. chopped nuts (optional)
Preparation
    Combine ingredients and stir until just mixed.
    Pour into greased and floured 9 x 13-inch cake pan.
    Take about 2 handfuls or so of brown sugar and spread around on top of cake.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 40 minutes until lightly browned.
    Remove from oven and prick all over with meat fork and pour sauce all over cake.
