Southern Fried Baked Steak - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 lb. round steak, trimmed
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. milk
1 egg, lightly beaten
cooking oil
1 onion, chopped
1 c. beef broth
Preparation

Pound steak to tenderize; cut into serving size pieces. Season with salt and pepper.
Dust with flour.
Combine milk and egg; dip meat into egg mixture and back into flour.
In a skillet, brown meat on both sides in oil.
Place onion in an ungreased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.
Place meat over onion.
Pour broth over all.
Cover tightly and bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours.
Uncover; bake 20 minutes more.
Yields 6 servings.
