Grandmother'S Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 soup bone
    1 lb. boneless soup meat
    1 large onion, sliced
    1 can stewed tomatoes
    1 pkg. frozen mixed vegetables
    2 medium potatoes
    some type of pasta (macaroni, spaghetti or noodles)
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    In a large stew pan, place the bone and meat with about 3 quarts of water.
    Bring to a boil.
    Season to taste with salt and pepper.
    Simmer this for about 20 minutes, then place the tomatoes and sliced onion with the meat and water.
    Cook this for about 1 1/2 hours at a medium boil.
    Then add the frozen vegetables and potatoes (which have been diced coarsely).
    About 20 minutes before you are ready to serve the soup, add the pasta.
