Brown Beef-Beer - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. beef cubes
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 can beer
    1/2 tsp. basil
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 pkg. mushroom gravy mix
Preparation
    Brown beef in butter.
    Add beer, basil, salt and pepper. Cover and simmer for 45 minutes or until meat is tender.
    Stir in gravy mix and cook until thick (about 5 minutes).
    I sometimes add sliced carrots.
    Serve over wild rice.
