Bread Pudding For A Crowd - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    18 slices white bread
    2 qt. milk
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    6 eggs, slightly beaten
Preparation
    Butter bread and place buttered side down in a greased cake pan (9 x 13-inch, 6 slices per layer).
    Combine milk, sugar, salt and eggs.
    Pour over bread.
    With large spoon, press bread down just enough to make sure all the bread gets the milk mixture over them.
    Let set 1/2 hour.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 45 minutes covered then 1/2 hour uncovered.
    If raisins are desired, sprinkle some between layers.
