Shortbread Cookie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. (2 sticks) cold hard butter, cut into chunks
    1/2 c. granulated sugar
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    pinch of salt
Preparation
    Place butter and sugar in the bowl of an electric mixer.
    Mix on low speed for 15 seconds.
    Add flour and salt.
    Continue mixing on low speed for 3 to 5 minutes until dough comes together.
    It will look dry just before it comes together.
    Place the dough on a lightly floured board.
    Roll 1/4-inch thick.
    Cut out dough until a 3-inch star cutter or other shape cookie shape.
