Buttermilk Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. buttermilk
    5 c. flour, sifted
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    1 pkg. dry yeast
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 c. shortening
Preparation
    Heat 1/2 cup of the buttermilk to lukewarm.
    Sprinkle yeast over lukewarm milk and stir until dissolved.
    Allow to stand a few minutes and then add remaining buttermilk.
    Blend well.
