Country Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 new or red potatoes
    3 c. grated sharp Cheddar cheese
    8 strips cooked bacon, crumbled
    1/2 c. butter, melted
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Boil potatoes with skins on until done.
    Drain and let cool. Slice unpeeled potatoes thin.
    Butter bottom of 13 x 9-inch pan. Layer half of the potatoes, salt and pepper, half of the cheese and half of the bacon.
    Dribble half of the butter over the layer. Repeat the layers.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 until bubbling, about 15 minutes.
    Freezes well.
