Lemon Bread - cooking recipe

1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. toasted almonds
1/2 c. golden raisins
grated rind of 1 lemon
1/2 c. powdered sugar
1/4 c. lemon juice
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar; add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.
Combine flour, baking powder and salt; add to creamed mixture alternately with milk.
Stir in almonds, raisins and rind.
Turn into 2 well-greased 7 x 3 x 2-inch loaf pans.
Bake 50 minutes at 350\u00b0. Yield:
2 loaves.
