Potato Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 to 3 slices bacon
3 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed
2 stalks celery, chopped
2 medium carrots, diced, if desired
1 small onion, chopped
1 c. water
1/2 tsp. salt
dash of pepper
2 Tbsp. flour
2 c. milk
Preparation

In saucepan, cook bacon until crisp; remove bacon and set aside.
To drippings, add potatoes, celery, carrots, onion, water, salt and pepper.
Cook, covered, for about 15 minutes or until tender.
Combine flour with small amount of milk until dissolved. Add to potato mixture along with remaining milk.
Cook over medium heat until mixture boils.
Garnish with bacon.
Makes 4 to 5 servings.
Tips:
Bacon can be omitted.
Cook vegetables in water as directed.
Add 2 tablespoons butter when adding milk.
