Boston Baked Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. dry navy beans
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 large yellow onion
    4 Tbsp. sugar
    1/3 c. molasses
    1 tsp. dry mustard
    2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Cover beans with water.
    Add baking soda and bring to a boil. Cover and let stand 30 minutes.
