Busy Day Goulash - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    salt and pepper
    1/3 onion, chopped
    1 (8 oz.) box macaroni
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
Preparation
    Brown meat.
    Add onion; cook until transparent.
    Add salt and pepper, then set aside.
    While meat is browning, add macaroni to boiling water and cook until tender; drain.
    Add salt and butter. Add tomatoes to meat mixture; bring to simmer.
    When bubbling, add macaroni, then simmer 10 minutes, uncovered.
    Serve with toasted French bread and salad.
