Tea Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    1 c. brown sugar
    2 eggs, beaten
    3 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. nuts, chopped
Preparation
    Cream together sugar and shortening.
    Add eggs; mix.
    Sift together flour, salt and soda.
    Combine both mixtures, mixing well.
    Stir in nuts.
    Form dough into a roll.
    Cover with wax paper and refrigerate overnight.
    Slice thin and bake at 400\u00b0 until brown.
    Makes 5 dozen.
