Ingredients

1 pkg. yeast
1 c. milk
3 1/2 c. sifted flour
1/4 c. Crisco
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 egg
Crisco (for deep frying)
Preparation

Dissolve yeast in lukewarm milk.
Add 1 1/2 cups flour and beat until smooth.
Cover.
Let rise in warm place until double in bulk (about 2 hours).
