"No Weep" Meringue - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/2 Tbsp. cold water
    1/2 c. boiling water
    6 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 egg whites
Preparation
    In small saucepan, mix cornstarch with cold water.
    Add boiling water and sugar and cook, stirring until thick and clear. Cool; add vanilla.
    Beat 3 egg whites until soft peaks.
    Slowly pour cooled cooked mixture over beaten egg whites; beat well. Spread on pie and bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes.
    Let cool in oven with door open.
