Harvest Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    1 c. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/8 tsp. nutmeg
    1/4 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. apple juice or cider
    1 1/2 c. finely chopped apples
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. raisins
    1/2 c. walnuts
Preparation
    Sift together first 6 ingredients.
    Add brown sugar, shortening, apple juice or cider and apples.
    Blend for 2 minutes. Add eggs and beat well.
    Stir in raisins and walnuts.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes in a 13 x 9-inch greased pan.
