Hot Fudge Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. cocoa
    2 Tbsp. shortening, melted
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1/2 c. milk
    1 c. brown sugar
    4 Tbsp. cocoa
    1 3/4 c. hot water
Preparation
    Sift together in a bowl the first 5 ingredients.
    Stir in the shortening, nuts and milk to the sifted mixture.
    Spread into a 9-inch square pan.
    Mix brown sugar, cocoa and sprinkle over the pan mixture.
    Pour the hot water over mixture.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
    Makes 9 servings.
    Cake mixture rises to top.
    Sauce settles to bottom.
    Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream, if desired.
