Ernest'S Baked Apples - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 to 6 apples (York are excellent)
    3 c. water
    1 c. sugar
    1/3 c. orange juice
Preparation
    Peel, split and core the apples.
    Place in a frying pan and add the water and sugar.
    Bring the mixture to a boil.
    Cook until the apples begin to look clear.
    Lift the apples from the frying pan and place in ovenproof glass baking dish.
    To the sugar and water mixture, add the orange juice.
    Cook the mixture down until only 1 cup remains.
    Pour over the apples.
    Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 30 minutes.
