Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. flour
    3 c. sugar
    1 c. Crisco
    1 c. buttermilk
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. soda
    2 tsp. lemon extract
    6 eggs, separated
Preparation
    Blend sugar and Crisco.
    Add egg yolks, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
    Add extract.
    Sift dry ingredients and add to first mixture alternately with milk, beginning and ending with dry ingredients.
    Beat egg whites until stiff, but not dry. Fold carefully into batter.
    Bake in 10-inch tube.
    Bake 1 hour and 10 minutes at 350\u00b0.
