Ingredients

2 Tbsp. butter
1 1/2 c. chopped dates
1 c. sugar
2 beaten eggs
1/4 tsp. salt
2 1/2 c. Rice Krispies cereal
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/2 tsp. vanilla
flaked coconut
Preparation

Melt butter in heavy saucepan.
Add dates, sugar, eggs and salt.
Cook about ten minutes, stirring constantly, until bubbly. Remove from heat; add cereal, nuts and vanilla.
With tablespoon, form into ball and roll in flaked coconut.
Refrigerate.
