Jalapeno Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. corn meal
    1 c. flour (plain))
    1 egg, beaten
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 small can cream-style corn
    3 jalapeno peppers, chopped
    1/4 bell pepper, chopped
    1 onion, chopped
    buttermilk as needed
    pinch of soda
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients.
    Add onion and all peppers.
    Use enough buttermilk to make to consistency of cornbread.
    Test batter by putting a small amount in hot grease or oil.
    If it does not rise well, add a little more baking powder.
    If the hush puppies are too greasy or break apart, add a little more flour.
