Banana Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 1/2 c. sifted flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
2 c. mashed ripe bananas
2 Tbsp. lemon juice
3/4 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs
3/4 c. milk
1/2 c. chopped walnuts or pecans
Preparation

Sift together flour, baking powder, salt and baking soda. Mash bananas with a fork and add lemon juice.
Cream shortening and sugar well, until light.
Add sifted ingredients and milk alternately.
Add bananas and nuts.
Pour into 2 or 3 greased pans.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
Makes 2 loaves.
