Economical Punch - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (8 oz.) bottle ReaLemon juice
    4 c. sugar
    6 c. cold water
    1 qt. ginger ale
    1 (46 oz.) can pineapple and grapefruit juice
    4 c. water (hot)
    2 qt. lime sherbet
Preparation
    Mix sugar and hot water until sugar is melted, then add lemon juice, pineapple and grapefruit juice and 6 cups cold water. Refrigerate.
    Punch is better if made the day before using.
    When ready to serve, add lime sherbet (1 quart per bowl) and ginger ale slowly.
    Have everything cold.
    Do not add ice cubes.
    Makes enough for two punch bowls.
