Mom'S Pumpkin Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 2/3 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    2/3 c. shortening
    2/3 c. water
    1 lb. can pumpkin
    3 1/3 c. sifted flour, sift 3 times
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    2/3 c. dates
    2/3 c. nuts
Preparation
    Cream sugar and shortening until fluffy.
    Stir in eggs, pumpkin and water.
    Sift flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt and spices.
    Gradually stir dry ingredients into pumpkin mixture. Turn batter into 2 greased and floured bread pans.
    Bake 90 minutes at 350\u00b0.
