Holiday Thumbprint Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    4 1/2 c. flour
    1 c. butter
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    dash of soda
    2 c. sliced almonds
    1 c. jam
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Grease sheets.
    Mix together the sugar, butter, eggs, flour, vanilla and soda.
    Divide dough into 4 equal pieces.
    Form each section into an 8-inch roll. Roll each piece into almonds and slice into 16 cookies.
    Place 2-inches apart on greased sheets.
    Make indentation with spoon in center of cookie to hold jam.
    Fill with favorite jam.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 6 to 8 minutes.
