Creamy Spinach Bake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. frozen chopped spinach
    2 Tbsp. minced onion
    1/2 tsp. salt (optional)
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    4 oz. cream cheese
    1/4 c. chopped fresh basil or 1 Tbsp. dried basil leaves, chopped with 3 Tbsp. fresh parsley
    1 egg
Preparation
    Place spinach in saucepan with 1/2 cup boiling water.
    Return to a boil, cover.
    Lower heat to a simmer.
    Cook for 4 minutes, until spinach is broken up.
    Drain but do not press all liquid out. Put spinach, onion, salt, pepper, cream cheese, basil and egg in blender or processor until just blended.
    Pour into buttered 1-quart casserole.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 30 minutes or until knife in center comes out clean.
    Serve hot.
