Hot Onion Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 medium sweet onions
    6 slices bacon
    1/4 c. bacon drippings
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 Tbsp. flour
    3 Tbsp. vinegar
    chopped parsley
Preparation
    Peel onions and slice 1/4-inch thick.
    Fry bacon until crisp; drain.
    Separate onion into rings and saute in bacon drippings until tender-crisp.
    Sprinkle with salt, pepper and flour.
    Stir gently.
    Add vinegar and cook until slightly thickened.
    Sprinkle with bacon crumbs and parsley.
    Serve warm.
